The deal with the local authority framework is said to be worth £350 million, reports Construction News.
Other companies going for the deal include Mansell and Bam Construct, which would mean a four-year deal for the Scape National Contractor Framework due to be set by April of next year.
A source told Contract News: "National contractors will want to have a look at this because it is a way of getting local authority work without going to OJEU(Official Journal of the European Union).
Wilmott Dixon's current deal will be completed before the end of this year. The company employs over 3,000 staff and claims to stand as one of the "UKs largest privately owned construction, housing, property care and investment companies", having been established in 1852.
