The deal will see both French company Eiffage and Carillion responsible for the construction of more UK power stations.
Adam Green, managing director of Carillion Infrastructure, said: "Our complimentary skills, capability and experience makes Carillion Eiffage ideally placed to support clients with their new build programmes.
"We share a common approach that builds long-term relationships with our customers."
Both of the companies have worked with one another on previous occasions, one of the projects being the Channel Tunnel.
The president of Eiffage was also keen to mirror Mr Green's sentiments, saying the company looked forward to a enduring collaboration.
Carillion has won range of awards in 2009 including the Infrastructure Network Rail Partnership Awards for Best Project Award Manchester Airport Third Platform, for its civil engineering division and the SkyBlue Best Construction Recruitment Firm for the Recruiter Awards.
