According to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (Rics), this section of the market has got to its "most positive level" since the beginning of last year.
Rics states that a hastening of spending is scheduled for the public sector which will go into ventures in areas including health and education.
In relation to private housing, positive results were recorded for Wales, with 17 per cent of members surveyed recording that workload increases would be likely and the south-east and London regions were anticipated to remain steady.
The institution also reported that a more positive outlook for the next year is being demonstrated - with figures showing an increase of nine per cent of those polled that believe output will go up, compared to last year.
Rics claims it has a responsibility to the government to give impartial advice relating to the property sector.
