Northern Ireland's environment minister has approved a regeneration project in Lisburn which could create new construction jobs in the country.

Minister Edwin Poots today announced planning approval for the regeneration of the former Barbour Threads Textiles Factory in Lisburn.
The £100 million regeneration scheme will transform the former textiles factory to provide 600 new homes, offices and light industrial units.
A leisure complex and museum are also included in the plans, along with a riverside bar and restaurant, a gym, creche, cafe and retail space.
To complete the regeneration, the existing canal and river bridges will be restored and replaced as necessary.
Turley Associates and the development team Hilden Developments NI are leading the regeneration project after securing planning permission.
Minister Poots said the "ambitious and innovative" scheme would provide a real boost for the local economy and generate in the region of 300 jobs.
