The international building group was given the £100 million Greenwich Schools Building Schools for the Future contract by VT Group.
Under the contract, Balfour Beatty will design and build a gymnasium that will double as an Olympic training camp at Thomas Tallis school, while also carrying out work at Crown Woods school.
Additionally, more construction jobs will be created in four North Lanarkshire schools, including a new-build project at Calderhead High School and refurbishment works at Caldervale High School.
"We are delighted to have been selected to help deliver these contracts in Greenwich and North Lanarkshire which will further build on our extensive experience in the education sector," commented Balfour Beatty chief executive Ian Tyler.
In October, the firm won a further £134 million of education sector contracts in Exeter and Lincolnshire.
