Last year Irish property development company Treasury Holdings, said they wanted to build around 3,700 homes, as well as a hotel on the Battersea site.
The plans have since gone through a comprehensive consultation process which appears to have been successful.
Rob Tincknell, managing director of Treasury Holdings, said: "We look forward to delivering this scheme which will both preserve the iconic power station building and create a vibrant new urban quarter in London."
Other current projects being undertaken by Treasury Holdings include developments at the Catherine Palace in St Petersberg and Landvetter Park in Sweden.
