Currently on the hunt for a Senior Automation Control Engineer with a strong background in automation and data analytics to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will lead the development and implementation of advanced automation systems to optimise mining processes and enhance operational performance.
 
Your role:
  • Design, develop, and implement advanced automation control systems for mining operations, including PLC, SCADA, and DCS systems.
  • Utilize data analytics tools and techniques to analyze operational data and optimize process performance.
  • Lead automation projects from concept to implementation, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and develop innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for troubleshooting and resolving automation-related issues.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of automation systems to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in automation technology to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
 
About you:
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Mid-senior level experience in automation control engineering within the mining industry.
  • Strong proficiency in PLC programming, SCADA systems, and distributed control systems (DCS).
  • Experience with data analytics tools and techniques, such as machine learning, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling.
  • Proven track record of leading automation projects from concept to implementation, delivering measurable results.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex automation issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of safety, quality, and regulatory standards applicable to automation systems in the mining industry.
