Responsibilities

As a Talent Acquisition Lead Early Career and University Relations at Weatherford, you will have a unique opportunity to create, develop and lead our university/colleges early career programs which are among the companies top priorities. You will play the critical role for programs to identify and attract the top talent and future leaders. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive university/college relations strategies and early career programs. As you promote our company brand inside the selected educational institutions you will build and maintain relationships with colleges and universities in support of recruitment, DE&I, and STEM engagement efforts. You will coordinate participation in recruiting events and career fairs, create a robust internship and co-op program, and develop and maintain relationships with career service representatives, student groups, and faculty stakeholders.

This role will report directly to the Sr. Director of Global Talent Acquisition and provides an opportunity to be the face of university/college relations and early career recruiting, internally and externally, for Weatherford a growing international company with nearly 20,000 employees. OPERATIONS
  • University / College Relations:
    • Create and execute both short-term and long-term strategies and programs.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with colleges, universities, and other educational institutions building mutually beneficial partnerships.
    • Point of contact for the execution of university/college relations and early career programs for Weatherford management teams, HR colleagues and support functions.
    • Plan and participate in career fairs, networking events, and campus presentations to promote the company and build a strong employer brand.
  • Recruitment Planning:
    • Collaborate with business leaders, hiring managers and HR colleagues to understand and define their resourcing needs.
    • In collaboration with Talent Development, create job descriptions and define candidate profiles for various entry-level roles and internships.
    • Regularly refine, update, and communicate workforce plans to key stakeholders.
  • Sourcing Strategies:
    • Define, develop, and maintain the supply chain channels to meet early career and future leadership resourcing needs for all areas of the organization.
    • Develop and deliver successful outcomes in-line with company goals focused on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
    • Develop, execute, and measure the effectiveness of sourcing strategies specific to university/college and early career program.
  • Selection and Evaluation:
    • In partnership with the recruiting teams, develop screening and selection strategies, including initial candidate screenings, interviews, and assessments to evaluate candidates.
    • Collaborate on the development and design of the selection processes, such as panel interviews, hiring events and assessment centers.
  • Data Management:
    • Generate regular reporting on all early career recruitment metrics and progress.
  • Compliance:
    • Stay up to date with all country labor laws and regulations related to recruitment and hiring.
    • Ensure all recruitment practices are in compliance for each country and with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) guidelines in the United States.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the enhancement of the early career programs.
COMMUNICATION
  • Effectively communicates with a global, cross-functional, and diverse workforce focused on analyzing needs and delivering results.
  • Stakeholder engagement to develop and sustain productive client and stakeholder relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Maintains effective communication with all key stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Ensures stakeholder understanding and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements as well as Weatherfords policies, procedures, and standards.
FINANCIAL
  • Understands the fundamentals of financial management in a global TA function and what constitutes effective, optimal delivery of cost-effective TA services.
  • Provides guidance, tools, and action plans to meet talent, financial, productivity, quality, and other TA targets.
PEOPLE & DEVELOPMENT
  • Works closely with management and HR business partners to improve work relationships, understand needs of the business, partner on strategy and execution.
  • Supports management to achieve resourcing goes in alignment with their early career recruiting plan.
  • Undertakes necessary function training to enhance their skills and experience that supports their personal career development.
VISION & LEADERSHIP
  • Demonstrates leadership, ethical behavior, and adherence to Weatherford standards always.
  • Contributes to the Weatherford TA strategy and translates it for the client and country such that a compelling vision and purpose is understood.
Qualifications

Experience & Education

REQUIRED
  • Bachelors degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 10+ years in a HR or related role with responsibility for recruiting including 4+ years specifically dedicated to early career recruiting programs.

PREFERRED
  • Master's degree in related field
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices and familiarity with applicant tracking systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and digital communication skills.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 30% including Canada, U.S., Europe, Middle East, Asia, Mexico and South America to Weatherford locations and, colleges and universities for events.
  • Highly organized project management skills and obsessive follow-up and responsiveness with strong attention to detail supporting all stakeholders.
  • Results-oriented and able to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Knowledge of diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives in recruitment is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

REQUIRED
  • Advanced skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams and other standard office software
  • Ability to work effectively alone and as a member of a cross-functional project team.
  • Confident decision-maker with the ability to appropriately challenge managers when required.
  • Ability to operate effectively through change when situations are complex or when information is ambiguous or contradictory.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with employees and leadership
  • Team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment.
PREFERRED
  • Experience using Oracle applications
  • TA experience within the Oil & Gas sector
